Stand Up America Begins Action Against Bachmann

Washington, DC – Stand Up America PAC (www.StandUpAmericaPAC.org) has begun its petition and online advertising campaign imploring Congresswoman Michele Bachmann to take full responsibility for the illegal and disgraceful rally she organized this month on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.

“Michele Bachmann willingness to empower hooligans for partisan political purposes is wrong and must stop,” said Aaron Ament, a co-founder of Stand Up America PAC. “Bachmann’s refusal to take full responsibility for amplifying the most hateful voices in our country means that we can not expect her to rein in the disgraceful behavior that has made her a national television star and one of the top recipients of far-right cash.”

Stand Up America has begun online advertising in outlets throughout Minessota’s 6th congressional district and launched a petition (http://salsa.wiredforchange.com/o/5586/t/4490/petition.jsp?petition_KEY=733 ) calling on Bachmann to disavow the madness and to get to work for her constituents.

The Stand Up America campaign team is an experienced group that has had great success in defeating Republican zealots like Richard Pombo in California in 2006 and Marilyn Musgrave in Colorado in 2008.
